The AuroraWatch UK iPhone app provides realtime alerts and data about Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) in the UK.

AuroraWatch UK is a free service run by Lancaster University, indicating the likelihood of an auroral sighting from within the UK.

This AuroraWatch UK iPhone app, developed in association with AuroraWatch UK, allows you to have this data at your fingertips on your iPhone, whilst providing free real-time alerts to notify you whenever aurora is likely to be seen from the UK.

We have been working with the AuroraWatch UK team at Lancaster University to develop an AuroraWatch UK iPhone app to provide iPhone users with real time Auroral alerts and Geomagnetic data.

Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)

The aurora borealis (or northern lights) is a spectacular natural phenomenon which can occasionally be seen in the night sky over Britain.

Once seen, it is never forgotten.

The AuroraWatch UK iPhone App allows you to monitor geomagnetic activity in real time, and will let you know when aurora may be visible from the UK.
